Planned Gifts
GIFTS BY IRA QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DONATION
If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a powerful gift to the Beta Alpha Education Foundation directly from your IRA — without paying income tax on the withdrawal.
This special type of contribution, called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), allows you to support the Foundation’s mission to develop better men for a better agricultural world — while also receiving valuable tax benefits.
How it Works
• You can donate up to $100,000 per year (indexed for inflation) directly from your IRA to a qualified charity like the Beta Alpha Education Foundation.
• Your gift:
• Counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), if you are required to take one.
• Is excluded from your taxable income, which may help reduce your overall tax bill.
• You can make a QCD from a traditional IRA or inherited IRA.
How to Make a Gift
- Contact your IRA administrator or financial advisor.
- Ask them to make the distribution directly payable to the Beta Alpha Education Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho, Inc
- Have them mail your check to the attention of: Jim Miller, AGR Treasurer, 520 E Union St, Nokomis, IL 62075.
- Notify Al Osterlund of your gift so we can properly acknowledge your contribution and ensure it is directed to the program or fund you care about most.
